Charter Bus Rental in Boston

Boston has narrow streets and firm rules for buses. You get a licensed operator, a vehicle that suits the streets on your route, and one quote for the whole trip with the driver included.

Charter bus rental pickups at Logan

Logan is about 3 miles from downtown, often 10 to 25 minutes. That short hop is easy to underestimate. The hard part is the pickup. At Logan, limousine service works by prior reservation only, and each terminal uses a different stand.

Commercial vehicles are barred from the Cell Phone Lot, so the driver cannot sit there waiting. Send the flight number and terminal. The pickup follows the real landing time, and we confirm the meeting point for your terminal when we book.

Working with the 15-minute limit downtown

At most downtown tour bus stops, the limit is 15 minutes. Meters are off limits to tour buses, and so is idling over 5 minutes. So the group must be at the curb when the bus pulls in, not still finishing lunch.

For a Freedom Trail day, plan it as a walk. The bus drops you, leaves, and meets you later at a set time and place. Long layovers go to the Autoport at 100 Terminal St in Charlestown, by prior arrangement.

Rules for buses in Boston

  • Most downtown tour bus stops allow a 15-minute maximum layover.
  • Long layovers: Autoport, 100 Terminal St, Charlestown, by prior arrangement.
  • Tour buses may not park at meters or idle over 5 minutes.
  • Storrow Drive prohibits trucks and buses.

Why the route skips Storrow Drive

Storrow Drive prohibits trucks and buses. Your phone may suggest it. The driver will not take it. Some routes look longer on paper for that reason, and the timings in your quote allow for it.

Seaport and Back Bay convention shuttles

Boston has two main halls. The Menino Convention & Exhibition Center is on the South Boston Waterfront. The Hynes is in Back Bay. Book hotels near the hall you need and the shuttle gets simpler. If your block is split, tell us which hotels and we size the loop to match.

Game days and day trips

Gillette Stadium is out in Foxborough, so decide early whether the bus waits through the game or comes back. Salem, Lexington & Concord, Plymouth, Newport and Cape Cod all work as day trips. Salem is only about 15 miles, but allow up to an hour.

Questions

Can the bus wait outside Faneuil Hall while we eat?

Not for long. Most downtown stops allow 15 minutes. The driver goes to a layover lot and returns at the time you set.

Can the driver meet us at Logan's cell phone lot?

No. It bars commercial vehicles. The driver works to your landing time and meets you at the pickup point for your terminal.

Is a full motorcoach right for a Gillette Stadium trip?

For a large group, yes. Waiting time through the game changes the price, so tell us whether the bus stays or leaves and returns.

What should we send for a Boston quote?

Dates, head count, every pickup address and any fixed times. You pay only once the quote is accepted.
