Orlando airport charter bus rental for groups

Most groups booking a charter bus at MCO are headed for a resort hotel, the convention center or a cruise ship. Each one needs a slightly different plan.

How a charter bus pickup works at MCO

MCO has Terminals A, B and C. Pre-arranged ground transportation is on Level 1. Limos pick up in two places: the Commercial Lane or the Ground Transportation concourse. Buses hold near the Cell Phone Lot, in the Bus & Taxi Holding Area, then come in when called. For a coach, you and the driver settle the exact meeting point before the day.

Tell us if anyone is flying in from abroad. International arrivals use a different exit, the Level 6 meet and greet in Terminal C. That changes where the driver finds you.

Where your driver meets you

  • Level 1 Ground Transportation; limos in GT concourse or Commercial Lane.

Commercial vehicle staging

  • Bus & Taxi Holding Area near the Cell Phone Lot (GT rules Exhibit B).

Drive to downtown

  • about 12 miles, 20-30 min

MCO to International Drive, Disney and Universal

Downtown Orlando is about 12 miles, but most groups head for International Drive, Lake Buena Vista, Kissimmee or the Universal area. Give us the hotel address. The parks treat buses differently. Disney puts buses under oversized vehicle parking. Buses are excluded from Universal valet and use designated bus and RV parking. Plan park days with that in mind.

Airport to Port Canaveral in one run

Port Canaveral is about 45 miles from MCO, 45 to 60 minutes. The route is SR 528 East: north terminals take Exit 54A, south terminals 54B. Tell us the ship and terminal. Commercial ground transport at the port needs a Port Authority permit. Fares have to be pre-arranged and pre-paid, which means booking before you fly.

Leave room on sailing day. A late flight is the most common way a cruise group loses its margin.

Groups arriving in waves

Reunions, school bands and tour groups often land across a whole day. One motorcoach waiting for the last flight wastes the first group's afternoon. Split arrivals into two or three pickups. The Brightline station is linked to Terminal C, and Terminal Link connects Terminal B to it, for anyone continuing by train.

Questions

Where does the bus wait at MCO?

Near the Cell Phone Lot, in the Bus & Taxi Holding Area, until your contact calls the driver.

Can we go straight from MCO to our ship at Port Canaveral?

Yes. It is about 45 miles. Book ahead, because port rules require pre-arranged, pre-paid fares. Send the ship and terminal.

Can the same bus take us to the parks during the week?

Yes. Book the airport run and the park days together so one operator plans the whole week, including where the bus parks at each park.

How long is the drive to International Drive?

It depends on the hotel. Downtown Orlando is 20 to 30 minutes from MCO, and the resort areas vary. Send the address and we give you the timing with the quote.
