Atlanta airport charter bus rental for groups
Hartsfield-Jackson is about 10 miles from downtown. The drive is often quicker than the walk out of the terminal, so plan the charter bus pickup and the rest follows.
Charter bus pickups: Domestic or International
ATL has a Domestic Terminal, split North and South, and an International Terminal. For a pre-arranged pickup at Domestic, the driver meets you inside by the atrium, or at the lower-level curb on the North or South side. At International, the meeting point is the outer curb or the Arrivals level. Tell us which terminal and which side.
A group on several airlines can land at both. If so, pick one meeting point and move people to it, rather than sending one vehicle to two terminals.

Where your driver meets you
- Domestic: inside near atrium or North/South lower-level curb. International: Arrivals level or outer curb.
Drive to downtown
- about 10 miles, 15-30 min
Only permitted operators pick up at ATL
Every limousine pickup here needs advance arrangement, and only companies with an ATL permit may pick up. Book before you fly. If someone approaches your group inside the terminal and says they are your driver, check the name and vehicle against your confirmation first.
Shared-ride and hotel shuttles use the Ground Transportation Center, at the Domestic Terminal's west end. Your charter is neither. For a minibus or motorcoach, you and the driver agree the exact meeting point before the day.
ATL to downtown, the Aquarium and game days
Many groups go straight to the Georgia World Congress Center or a hotel downtown, in Midtown or in Buckhead. For Georgia Aquarium groups, the bus parks half a mile off, at the GWCC Marshalling Yard, which needs advance reservation and may close for events. On a Falcons or Atlanta United day at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, plan around it.
Timing a large group through ATL
ATL is a big airport, and the walk from gate to bags takes real time. Send flight numbers. Then have your contact call the driver once the group has its luggage. MARTA's Airport Station, at the Domestic Terminal's west end, suits a few travelers. A charter bus rental suits a group with bags heading to one address.
