LaGuardia charter bus and airport shuttle bus
LaGuardia is the closest New York airport to Midtown. It is also short on curb space, so a charter bus pickup here works best when the plan is fixed before anyone flies.
Where pre-arranged pickups happen at LaGuardia
LaGuardia has Terminals A, B and C, and each handles car services in a different place. Car services load across the street at Terminal A, on the garage's Level 2 at Terminal B, and in Terminal C's inner Arrivals lane. Your group follows the Car Services signs. Ride apps use the same areas, so expect a crowd.
A sedan or SUV booking uses those areas. For a Sprinter van, minibus or charter bus, you and the driver agree the meeting point in advance. Hotel shuttles have their own zone. A charter is not a hotel shuttle, so do not send people there.

Getting a charter bus from LGA to Midtown
The distance is short, and that tempts people to cut the timing fine. Don't. Parkways and FDR Drive need a Highway Travel Permit for buses, so a coach can take a longer way in than a car.
At the hotel the driver has three minutes of idling. Fifth Avenue from 32nd to 59th Streets has no pickups. Give us the exact address, and a side street if your hotel is on that stretch.
Sizing the vehicle for LaGuardia
For 10 to 19 people, a Sprinter van is easier to place at a busy curb than a coach. For 20 to 35, book a midsize coach. Above that, a motorcoach. If a big group lands in waves, two smaller vehicles on two schedules can beat one coach waiting for the last flight.
Delays and missed connections
Flights into LaGuardia move. Send every flight number so the pickup tracks the actual landing time. If someone misses a connection, tell the driver before the group boards. The driver can hold, but waiting time can change the price, and the rest of the group is waiting too.
Questions
Where does the driver meet us at LaGuardia?
For a sedan or SUV, in the Car Services area of your terminal. For a van, minibus or coach, the driver and your group contact settle the spot ahead of the day.
Can part of the group take the free bus instead?
The free Q70 LaGuardia Link runs to the Jackson Heights subway. It works for one or two people traveling light. It does not work for a group with luggage going to one hotel.
How long is the drive to Midtown?
About 25 to 45 minutes for roughly 9 miles. Allow more for a coach at rush hour, since buses cannot use the parkways without a permit.
Is LaGuardia the best New York airport for a group?
It is the closest to Midtown. But if your group is split across JFK, Newark and LaGuardia, one vehicle cannot cover all three well. Pick the airport where most of the flights land.
