Logan is about 3 miles from downtown, so the drive is short. Most of the planning for a charter bus rental goes into the pickup, because Logan treats pre-arranged vehicles strictly.

Logan takes limousine service by prior reservation only, and every terminal has a separate limo stand. At A it is the lot opposite Arrivals. At B it is Departures, B-205 to B-208. At C it is the Central Garage. At E it is Lot 2.
For a sedan or SUV, your group heads to the stand for its terminal. For a minibus or motorcoach, the driver sets the meeting point with you ahead of time. Arrivals curb stops such as A105 and E107 are for scheduled buses. A charter is not a scheduled bus, so don't assume the group waits there.

Waiting time at Logan
The Cell Phone Lot is closed to commercial vehicles. The vehicle we book cannot wait there for your call. Timing matters more here than at many airports. Send flight numbers so the operator sees the actual landing time. Have your contact call the driver once the bags are collected.
Logan to Back Bay, the Seaport and Cambridge
Hotels in Back Bay, the Seaport, downtown and Cambridge are all short runs. Two city rules shape the trip. Storrow Drive prohibits trucks and buses, so the driver takes another road. At most downtown tour bus stops the layover limit is 15 minutes, and tour buses may not idle over 5 minutes.
If the coach has to wait longer, for example while a slow hotel check-in finishes, the long-layover option is the Autoport at 100 Terminal Street in Charlestown, by prior arrangement. Tell us at booking if you expect that.
Convention groups and day trips from Logan
Convention groups often go straight to the Hynes in Back Bay, or to the South Boston Waterfront for the Menino Convention Center. Others land and leave the city for Salem, Lexington and Concord, Plymouth, Newport or Cape Cod. Bags ride in the under-floor bays of a motorcoach, so an airport-to-day-trip run works if the schedule allows.

Why is the coach avoiding Storrow Drive?
Storrow Drive prohibits trucks and buses. The driver takes a legal route, which can be a few minutes longer than a car's.
How far ahead should we book a Logan pickup?
As soon as flights are set. Limo pickups at Logan must be reserved in advance, and larger vehicles book up first on busy convention and graduation weekends.
