PortMiami Charter Bus and Group Transfers
PortMiami has nine cruise terminals and a lot of ships on busy days. We book a permitted operator and a charter bus sized for your group and luggage, with one quote that includes the driver.
Know the terminal letter before sailing day
The terminals run from AA through V. Royal Caribbean's Terminal G is under construction. Your cruise line assigns the terminal. Send it to us with the ship name. A driver heading to the wrong terminal on a busy morning loses time you do not have.

Ground transportation at the port
- Ground transport companies need an active PortMiami business permit.
- Operators must enroll in the GTS Go-Pass transponder program.
- Motorcoaches need a USDOT/FMCSA MC number.
- Most cruise lines offer MIA-to-port transfers.
- Terminal G (Royal Caribbean) under construction.
Nearest airports
- Miami International Airport (MIA) — about 7 miles, 15-30 min
- Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) — about 26 miles, 35-60 min
The permits behind a PortMiami charter
Before we book, we check three things: an active PortMiami business permit, GTS Go-Pass transponder enrollment and, for motorcoaches, a USDOT/FMCSA MC number. You do not need to.
Most cruise lines sell their own transfers from MIA to the port. Those suit some travelers. A private charter makes sense when your group wants one vehicle, a hotel stop, or a pickup from Fort Lauderdale.
Airport runs from MIA and FLL
MIA is about 7 miles away, 15 to 30 minutes. From FLL it is about 26 miles, or 35 to 60 minutes. If your group lands at both, price two vehicles. At MIA, cruise buses load at Door 1 on Concourse D and Door 33 on Concourse J. We confirm the exact meeting point with the operator.
Send flight numbers. The pickup follows the actual landing. Do not book a morning flight on sailing day if you can avoid it.
Luggage and vehicle size
A motorcoach carries full cruise luggage for a large group. For 10 people with big cases, a Sprinter van can fill up fast. Tell us the bag count. Luggage cannot ride where it blocks an exit.
Questions
Can the bus stop at a hotel before the port?
Yes. Add it to the plan and we build it into the quote. Allow time for loading bags.
Is a private charter better than the cruise line transfer?
For large groups or split pickups, often yes. For two people from MIA, the cruise line option may suit.
What changes the price?
Date, distance, vehicle size, waiting time and tolls. The charge comes only once you accept the quote.
