Port Canaveral Charter Bus and Group Transfers
Port Canaveral is about 45 miles from Orlando International. We book a permitted operator and a charter bus or smaller vehicle for your group, with one quote that includes the driver.
What the port requires from the operator
A Canaveral Port Authority permit is required of every commercial ground transport company serving Port Canaveral. Every fare has to be pre-arranged and prepaid, and permitted operators must carry the auto liability cover the port sets. We confirm the operator meets those rules before we book. You accept the quote before sailing day, and that settles the prepaid requirement.

Ground transportation at the port
- All commercial ground transport needs a Canaveral Port Authority permit.
- Fares must be pre-arranged and pre-paid.
- Operators need at least $1M auto liability insurance.
- Loading zones limited to 15 minutes; holding areas max 5 hours.
- Meet-and-greet areas at Terminals 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10.
- From MCO: SR 528 East; Exit 54A north terminals, 54B south.

Timing the run from MCO or Orlando hotels
From MCO, take SR 528 East; the drive is about 45 to 60 minutes. The north terminals use Exit 54A, and the south terminals 54B. Tell us your terminal number. The driver needs it to take the right exit.
From International Drive or Lake Buena Vista, allow longer. Leave early on sailing day. Traffic on the way to the coast is hard to predict, and the ship does not wait.
Loading at the terminal and waiting at the port
Loading zones have a 15-minute limit; holding areas, 5 hours. The group should be ready with bags tagged before the bus reaches the curb. Six terminals have meet-and-greet areas: 1, 3, 5, 6, 8 and 10.
On return day, disembarkation times vary. Tell us your ship and a realistic ready time. The driver waits in the holding area, not at the curb. Long waits add to the quote.
Choosing the vehicle for cruise luggage
Cruise groups carry more luggage than most. A full-size motorcoach has large under-floor bays. A Sprinter van has less room behind the last row. If each person has two big cases, go up a size. No bag may block an exit.
Questions
Can we add a stop at Kennedy Space Center?
Yes. It is about 47 miles from Orlando and the port about 56, so it fits the same day. Build it into the quote and watch the holding limit.
Which terminals are north and which are south?
Your cruise line tells you the terminal number. Send it and the driver takes the right exit.
What if our ship is late coming in?
Tell us as soon as you know. The driver waits in the holding area. Waiting time is part of the price.
