The 2027 dates, and which ones are tentative
Carnival season opens January 6, 2027, on Twelfth Night. Parade season runs to Fat Tuesday, February 9, 2027. That range is listed as tentative.
Two parades have tentative dates. Endymion rolls in Mid-City on February 6, a Saturday. Bacchus rolls Uptown the next day, Sunday, February 7. On Fat Tuesday morning, Zulu and Rex parade. Build your plan around these, but keep it flexible until the schedule is final.

Charter bus rental around parade routes
Parades run Uptown along St. Charles, through the French Quarter and in Mid-City. Streets on and near the routes close before and during parades. A bus cannot drop you at the curb of a closed street. Pick a drop point outside the route, walk in, and agree a pickup time and place for after.
The usual French Quarter rules still apply. Buses under 31 feet use signed routes. Longer buses need an Oversize Load permit in advance. Buses over 20 seats are banned in the Garden District.
Airport runs and hotel choice
Louis Armstrong International is about 15 miles from downtown. On the big parade weekend, allow extra time. Hotels in the CBD and Warehouse District are easier for a bus to reach than the Quarter. If your group stays farther out, a bus to a set drop point and back each day is simpler than cars. Tell us which parades you plan to see, and we time the runs around them.
